Toby grew up in the Tallahassee, Florida area where his father was a pastor and Christian School principal.  Toby met Deborah Perkins at her church youth group (First Baptist Church, Quincy, FL) when they were in high school.  They were married in June of 1991 and moved to Jacksonville in late 1992 where they lived for six years.

In 1998 Toby finally surrendered to God’s call to ministry, so the DuBoses moved to Orlando and he attended Reformed Theological Seminary.  They  lived in Orlando for nearly five years and while there Deborah completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music at Rollins College graduating summa cum laude.  More importantly, their first-born son Adin was born during their time in Orlando.  While working on his Master of Divinity degree, Toby was on staff at Saint Andrews Chapel and worked under the care of Dr. R. C. Sproul.

In February of 2003 Toby, Deborah, and Adin moved back to Jacksonville where Toby became the pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, PCA.  On March 11, a little over one year after they arrived in Jacksonville, their son Ethan was born.  The DuBose family spent a total of six amazing years in ministry at Redeemer.

As of January 2010, the DuBoses are embarking on a new adventure:  Church planting.  They are in discussions with several different people about planting churches in different areas of Florida and the Southeast.  Please pray for them as they seek God’s call.
